Tiger & Turtle Duisburg

Chimneys caught in a loop. The Tiger & Turtle venue in Duisburg (Ruhrarea – Germany) resembles the rollercoaster loops, but it’s a walkway with stairs. However the vertical loop is unwalkable. The nickname is Magic Mountain – the art installation was built in 2010 on a former coal waste mountain in the Angerpark near the river Rhine.

The mountain is called the Heinrich-Hildebrand-Höhe and measures 35 metres above streetlevel. The total length of the sculpture is 220 metres. At night the lighting is done by 880 LED bulbs.
